It’s like everyone knew Devin Booker was going to go off on Thursday night.
The Phoenix Suns star had been relatively quiet of late, attempting to buy in to Monty Williams’ unselfish offense — almost to a fault. But on the second night of a back-to-back with his team coming off a blowout loss to the Orlando Magic, they needed their best player to carry them.
Television analyst Eddie Johnson could feel it was time. He said he expected a big Booker game on 98.7 FM Arizona’s Sports Station’s Bickley & Marotta, and Johnson later pushed the narrative on the Suns pregame show.
Fans saw it coming, too.
And to the detriment of pro gamer Cloakzy’s left eyebrow, Booker delivered against the New Orleans Pelicans.
Gotta do it live on stream next week 😂😂 https://t.co/itNVBQSFnF

Booker scored 44 points on 54% shooting. The 23-year-old added nine assists, eight rebounds and two steals, but he looked like his aggressive self.
Booker cranked up 11 threes, making five. He got to the foul stripe 13 times, making all of them.
As his big night developed, Cloakzy realized he had made quite the mistake asking Booker to score 40 for the reward of losing his eyebrow hairs.

The gaming streamer, who has more than 1 million followers on his Twitter account and 1.7 million Twitch subscribers, might have to own up to his bet in front of his fans after calling for Booker to drop a 40-burger.
In the end, Phoenix needed it all. The Suns blew a big lead and got taken to overtime, where they outscored the Pelicans, 14-7, to earn a 139-32 win.
Cloakzy may have only one more eyebrow to shave, but Suns fans wouldn’t mind if he sacrificed himself against by asking Booker for more 40-point nights down the road.
