The Arizona Cardinals announced seven roster moves on Wednesday spearheaded by placing quarterback Kyler Murray and wide receiver Rondale Moore on injured reserve.
Arizona also signed quarterback David Blough off the Minnesota Vikings practice squad, signed tight end Maxx Williams from its own practice squad, re-signed cornerback Jace Whittaker to the 53-man roster, added quarterback Carson Strong to the practice squad and designated right guard Will Hernandez to return from injured reserve.
Murray tore his ACL on Monday Night Football and will have surgery after Christmas, head coach Kliff Kingsbury told reporters. His season is over.
Moore has not played since Week 11 due to a groin injury. The second-year pro has been held to eight games this year due to injuries after playing 14 games as a rookie. He will miss at least three of the final four games of the season.
Blough and Strong join Colt McCoy and Trace McSorley in the quarterbacks room.
Blough entered the NFL in 2019 as an undrafted free agent out of Purdue. He started five games as a rookie for the Detroit Lions after Matthew Stafford went down with a back injury. His starting stretch got off to a bang as his first completion was a 75-yard touchdown pass to Kenny Golladay on Thanksgiving.
The former Boilermaker went 0-5 as a starter in 2019, though.
The Vikings signed him to the practice squad on Sept. 2.
Williams has played in each of the last three games as a practice squad elevation after Zach Ertz suffered a season-ending knee injury in Week 10.
Injury fact:
The Cardinals now have 15 players on the team’s injured reserve list including seven offensive starters.
Only Denver (17) has more players currently on IR than the Cardinals.

Whittaker returns after he was released from the practice squad on Nov. 9. The Cardinals released cornerback Trayvon Mullen on Tuesday and are back to five CBs on the active roster, although Byron Murphy Jr. is still progressing through a back issue. Mullen was reportedly claimed by the Dallas Cowboys.
Hernandez has not played since Week 9 due to a pectoral injury, though he donned the Cardinals jersey in Mexico City to run out of the tunnel with the Mexican flag in Week 11. His 21-day practice window is open.
The Cardinals have four games left this year, starting Sunday against the Denver Broncos.
